Supporting postpartum hemorrhage programmes with new technology service concepts

We’ve been working on a concept for preventing and managing postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) and related complications through new communications technologies.

PPH is the leading cause of maternal mortality in low-resource settings causing nearly one quarter of all maternal deaths globally.  M4ID has, on request by partners working on PPH, been looking into ways to support PPH programmes using mobiles and other new communications technologies suitable for low resource settings.
