Using feedback to drive change in maternal health care
Care2Share is a mobile service for new mothers to give feedback on the quality of care they received at a maternity clinic.
The service collects data based on recognised standards for quality of intrapartum care. In this way, Care2Share empowers its users to contribute and drive change in maternal health. On a facility and government level, the service offers a transparent, data driven tool to inform improvement efforts for quality of care.
This concept was developed together with an Indian NGO, Centre for Catalyzing Change (C3). Design research and subsequent testing were conducted in Jharkhand, India. The project team worked together with women and health practitioners to jointly create a feedback solution to improve the quality of care during the time of delivery.
In the process, we conducted design research, developed the service approach and concept, did user-testing, and developed a branding, design and communications strategy.
