M4ID to Design a Digital Activist Service

December 17, 2013

MacArthur Foundation has today announced a one year grant to M4ID to research and design an innovative digital community platform for the advancement of women’s sexual, reproductive and maternal health and rights globally. The service aims to connect national, regional and international activists committed to this field.

The project seeks to fill the current gap for a digital service enabling rapid information sharing, coordinated advocacy, crowdsourcing, volunteering and self-organization on women’s health and rights issues.  The project will be carried out through a set of participatory service design sprints in India, with intended end users shaping the functions and focus of the service.  M4ID is thrilled to begin the design of this service in January 2014!
