M4ID attends the International AIDS Conference in Amsterdam
M4ID will take part in the largest AIDS gathering to talk about our work in East Africa designing solutions that increase HIV service uptake among girls and young men.
M4ID will attend the 22nd International AIDS Conference on 23-27th of July in Amsterdam, Netherlands. M4ID has extensive experience using human-centred design to advance HIV testing and care models for adolescents in East Africa. It is also one of the four finalists in the HCD Challenge Fund to prototype new HIV self-testing models in Kenya.
During a satellite session at the AIDS conference, Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) will share findings from M4ID’s recent field research in Kenya to understand young men’s experiences and perceptions of HIV, testing and linkage to care. These findings will allow M4ID to co-design and test concepts that seek to address gaps in demand creation and service delivery. Conference participants will also be able to interact directly with M4ID team members and learn more about human-centred design and our projects. The HCD Challenge is funded by the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) and the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF).
The International AIDS Conference is the largest gathering on HIV and AIDS in the world, bringing together over 15,000 scientists, activists, health providers, policy makers and global leaders.
